Welcome to The Caped Crusader, the fanlisting for Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. the Batman. Created by artist Bob Kane (and writer Bill Finger), published by DC Comics and first making his debut in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), Batman has encompassed all parts of popular culture, and remains one of the most influential fictional characters and comic superheroes of the modern age.
